Then, there I was, in my first class with the world-renowned protein expert Dr. Donald Layman, and he said one thing on the chalkboard that changed everything. 

I realized I was missing something shockingly simple;

I was not paying attention to how much protein I ate throughout the day. The focus on a vegetarian diet led to overeating carbs. Once I became intentional about the timing and amount of protein I consumed, everything else seemed to fall into place—as long as I consumed protein in the right, strategic, PROVEN ways. 

As I implemented these scientific methods studied in my coursework and research, I quickly had more energy, recovered quicker, and had fewer cravings. My daily routine used to feel like I had to drag myself to complete each task, and by making an intentional effort to hit my protein needs consistently, I started to feel in control of my mental and physical health. 

Since caring for patients in 2016, the transition from lethargy to consistent energy in daily life has been repeated, proven and true, for hundreds, and thousands of my patients and program members. It requires effort and discipline, but the reward is an excellent quality of life and the ability to do what you enjoy without limitations.
